This was so much fun and accurate enough that I had to post it here and at Genetics and Health.

I Am Not A Likeable Leader

I’ve been struggling with becoming a better, more thoughtful, nicer (?) leader but clearly I have a ways to go.

My Life, My Card

In this month’s issue of The Atlantic, I saw an American Express ad featuring Ellen Degeneres as part of their My Life, My Card campaign. Seemed like a good meme!

What She Said

getsheilaSheila said it better than me so let’s just say I said what she said when it comes to the following questions for the 2006 meme:

  • 1 - The ugly part about learning new technology
  • 10 - Blogging has changed me forever, hopefully for the good
  • 17 - My laptop is permanently attached to me. Thank goodness Marv and I no longer share a computer.
  • 21 - Blogging is motivational
  • 22 - Back to prepregnancy weight when I had been below for a while
  • 28 - I swear I’ve said the exact same about trolls and spammers before
  • 31 - W00t! (Thank you, Christina, for teaching me what the heck this means. I’m sure other people don’t thank you for teaching me that, though. haa)
  • 32 - Double W00t!
  • 33 - Contempt is the way to go
  • 49 - Right (write?!) backatcha, babe!
  • 51 - I thought only I was proud of that
  • 55 - OHHH YES
  • 56 - Anyone who says “cow-tow” is alright by me! hehee

What’s your nerd score?

Wonka Nerds, Apple-Watermelon and Lemonade-Wild Cherry, 1.65-Ounce Packets (Pack of 36)Jodi sent me the link to this nerd quiz. I’m not sure if I should be happy or glad upset (guess my subconscious was thrilled) that I got the same percentile as Britney Spears! My score is 199, my rating is 42.61%. Britney’s nerd percentile is 42%.

What did you get?

10 Random Facts About Me

Stef tagged me and since I’m feeling the itch to blog but have no more creative power to think of a clever (ha!) subject to write about, I shall list 10 random facts about me…starting NOW!

  1. I’m getting a groove on the left side of my temple where my slightly-too-tight glasses clutch my head.
  2. I have a lot of freckles even though I stay out of the sun and wear lotion/make-up with SPF.
  3. Marv found four strands of grey hair all in a bunch on the left side of my head last weekend. Wonder what section of brain that corresponds to.
  4. I hate wasting time waiting with nothing to do.
  5. People who enjoy shoving their overinflated egos in my face annoy me the most (especially since I can trump most of them).
  6. My favorite TV show is The West Wing and I used to fantasize about a career in politics when I was in college.
  7. I like my fingernails really really short with barely any white showing.
  8. I get things done and I don’t whine about it (well, hardly ever).
  9. Whenever I feel funky, a couple of mint antacids usually do the trick.
  10. My best and worst quality is the same - I’m a positive thinker and hardly ever consider the negative side of things, like what would happen if things don’t go as planned. Luckily, Marv is the opposite so I am still prepared just in case.

Who else wants to share some random facts?

How Nice!

A couple months ago, I mentioned the book, The Power of Nice: How to Conquer the Business World With Kindness by Linda Kaplan Thaler and Robin Koval. I haven’t gotten the book yet but I was pleased to find the Nice Blog with Cotton-Pickin’ Days on the blogroll labeled “Other Nice Links”!

The Power of Nice website has a bunch of fun stuff including e-cards like this one and a NiceQ test. I didn’t do so well and got a 14 out of 20 putting me at an “average familiarity with nice skills.”

Sounds like I need to get me a copy of The Power of Nice ASAP!

CIA Personality Test

According to this CIA personality test, I’m a “thoughtful observer.” In college, the FBI and CIA used to put fliers up advertising job opportunities. I always thought it seemed intriguing. But that’s probably only because I like spy novels.

What does the CIA say you are?
