How to Transform Your Child into a Genius

Professor of psychology Richard Nisbett, author of Intelligence and How to Get It:, suggests the following to increase your child’s IQ:
- Praise effort more than achievement
- Teach delayed gratification
- Limit reprimands
- Use praise to stimulate curiosity
Not as easy as it looks….

Hm, how do you teach delayed gratification?? That’s a tough one.
By never giving them what they want.
I had read somewhere that too much praise is also a problem because they get used to being “successful” and, subsequently, become fearful of trying anything where they think they may fail.
