Is your name too masculine or feminine?

What the @#!? The Swedish National Tax Board has denied a couple the right to name their baby girl “Elvis” because the name is too masculine. Coincidentally, Stephen was doing some workbook pages today to help him prepare for the Singapore school system. One exercise had him distinguish between Mary and Ted as feminine/masculine names.
For example:
Tick the correct answer.
Mary is at the shopping centre with her mother.
Mary is at the shopping centre with his mother.
Sheesh. Why not go all out and teach the kids more tricky names like Marion, Sasha, or Hsien?!

You’re going to Singapore?! Sorry if you said so already, I missed it. Wow. When do you go and how do you feel about it?
Hey Lisa, I never made a proper announcement about our move. It’ll be my first time living in Singapore although it’s my husband’s home country. Should be a pretty easy place to live aside from the weather - hot and humid 365 days a year. And for the first time in 10 years, I’ll have a car of my own! w00t
My son’s name swings both ways…..:P
Hsien, when are you due? I’m getting all excited for you!
Dutchess, I’m 4 days overdue today. *sob*
A boy named Sue … awesome song.
