Stephen’s been crazy about Hot Wheels Modifighters lately and has been drawing endless pictures of them (including others of Bionicles). He’s also been trying harder to sound out and spell words which sometimes leads to some very interesting results.
Take a closer look at the word I circled in red above. I asked if he had copied that from somewhere and he said no then proceeded to read it as C-X-Chunk or something. Whew! I was getting worried there for a second. I did only just finish Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides and don’t think Stephen would have read any part of that. Or has his reading advanced so rapidly that he’s sneaking peeks at my books?!

By the way, did you enjoy Middlesex? It’s sitting on my bookshelf but that list of “to read” books is so long. Don’t mind the papers I should be reading for my research
Yada, I liked the book more than I expected. It certainly taught me more about hermaphrodites than I ever thought I wanted to know!
