Finally Stitching Again

Finally, after pledging several months ago to regain my sanity and start stitching again, I’ve done it. This is the progress I’ve made on the teapot cross stitch I started in 2004.
Some earlier pics of my progress from June, October, and November 2004.
I’d really like to get this one done so I can start on the Amanda Loverseed Cut Thru’ Rocket.
By the way, Jean has been stitching too and even started her own online store - Needle Little Love. She has some gorgeous designs that I haven’t seen elsewhere. I especially like the Tournicoton patterns .
And so the stitching madness begins again….

Congrats! My stitching remnants are stuck in a box or crate or basket somewhere, who knows where. I thought I would stitch when I was pregnant and laying around but that didn’t happen. Where are you hanging all of your finished products??
You’re assuming I have many finished products…. :/
I’ve got a few cross-stitched gifts from friends displayed but my own are either framed and still in boxes or simply folded away. I’ve decided I like the process and goal of stitching and don’t care much once I’ve finished it. Kind of weird, huh?

That Cut Thru’ Rocket is cool. Great incentive for finishing the teapots! hehehe.
I can relate to having plenty of stash. I have at least 6 large charts in my drawer, plus myriad small ones, a couple kits, and 3 huge WIPs.
But just like one can never be too rich, one can never have too much stash.
I’m a little concerned about the rocket because it’s on navy blue fabric! Worried about not being able to see the holes. I actually have another WIP too - MLB’s Lady of the Thread on black fabric…. Wonder if the guilt will take over and I’ll be needing to finish that up before commencing the rocket. I usually have only one WIP at a time but started the teapots because it was a smaller project than Lady. Who knew I’d still be working on it 3 years after starting. hahaa
bright light, and a pale colored pair of pants or a white towel on the lap really makes a huge difference when stitching on dark fabric.
I wasn’t very thrilled with stitching on black though.
Maybe you could stitch the rocket on something lighter, and just fill in the background with a blue thread?

I give you credit. I don’t know if I have the patience to sit there and cross stitch. It turned out great!
Thanks! I’ve been stitching on and off since 5th grade. One of my favorite things to do is to stitch and watch TV. Even better if I can do it with friends (almost all my friends get sucked in sooner or later…heh).
We are so very different, friend! Regaining my sanity and cross-stitching wouldn’t mesh well together.
I did enjoy it for a season, the one where I was pregnant and thought all those Precious Moments babies would look cute in the new nursery. 
It’s good to see you doing something purely for relaxation, though!
Maybe you should try it as a cure for your insomnia.
I have a feeling it’ll only increase the frequency of the migraines.

Whenever you’d like! I’m still not able to stitch every day and hate having to stitch at 10 pm at night but if that’s what I can get for now, I’ll take it!
