I see this all the time, too. No matter who I’m with, I always say, “Wow. If I were that kid’s mom…”
I admit, when I was in high school I was guilty of doing this from time to time, but NEVER to the degree I see kids do it today - and my mom was really quick to put me back in my place if I got carried away, haha. (Too, “Anything you want, darling” NEVER came out of either of my parents’ mouths!)
Now that I’m all grown up (yeah, right) I’ve apologized to my parents for so many things
Just wait until you become a parent! You’ll probably be able to write a book about all the different reasons you’re sorry for causing so much trouble for your parents. hehe
