[...] Car - We’re currently a 1-car family and Marv gets the car for work, so I go everywhere on foot, bus, or subway. I kind of enjoy it this way! [...]

Jill: After our last lunch, I decided to walk back to pick up Stephen. I thought my Sketchers were plenty comfortable but by the time I got there, I had a HUGE blister that was bleeding profusely. Had to ask the teacher for cotton puffs and a bandaid. It still hasn't healed. WAAAHH.

mdmhvonpa: Hey, isn't that MY sandwich you're eating?

Cocoen: Can you believe I turned down a ride today so I could walk? I have lost my mind.

Franco: Thank you for the nice comment! I bet London is tons different now. For better or for worse? Not sure. Come back and take a walk! :)

Hi Hsien,

Yes...indeed this article that you wrote reminded me about my days in London, all in all almost 9 years, since 1972. Brought back fabulous memories. Being a few years since my last visit. Time to walk the streets of London once again, before my legs fail me!!

Love you blog. Lots of different things. A great concoction.

And Happy Valentine's Day to you.

See, this is what I miss about the cities I've lived in before moving to this little college town. Walking around!! I don't like having to drive everywhere.

I'm tickled about your 'backing up bus' conundrum. Such absurd mindset about entitlement ... it's too much!

Thanks for that map! I've saved it *and* printed it. I'm a big believer in walking. Cycling too. I walked from Fulham Broadway to Kensington High Street this weekend, almost by accident. (I remembered the hellish bus ride that I had - from North End Road to Hammersmith and back to North End Road -- to avoid a couple of blocks of roadworks.) Seemed like it took ages, it must be over a mile, but it was probably no longer than the ride back in the bus.
