My Tummy Hurts

Some of the moms at school are already reporting that their kids will try to feign illness to get out of school. Stephen hasn’t tried that yet but he really is sick after just one week in school. His nose got stuffed up yesterday, rattled today, and by the time he got home, he was running a slight fever.
He’s been counting down the days to the weekend since Wednesday. 5-4-3-2-1-0! When he wished his teacher a good weekend, he told her it was “zero days until holiday.” All the kids were visibly exhausted and surprisingly, I am too. It’s been an intense week full of new developments on all fronts.

A little funny:
One of the moms at school gave birth and somehow all the kids knew about it. Stephen asked where the baby comes out of the mommy’s tummy. While sitting, I made the gesture of a baby passing out of the uterus holding my two hands parallel to each other, fingers pointing towards feet, and a out of tummy motion.
“But how will the baby come out from your toes?!?!” Stephen asked.

Heehee. He’s so cute! For some reason, the first time I read your title, I read, “My Tarty Hummus.” I need a holiday!
Kerri: I thought you were on a perpetual holiday!
Absolutely. Bonbons and soap operas all day, don’t ya know?
Sounds like you need to prepare yourself for “the talk”
river2sea72: We’re “talking” but very vaguely. I can’t bring myself to make anything up, though. hehe
