Did you send me $50?
Posted by Cottontimer on 01 Sep 2006 | Tagged as: London
The mail just arrived with an envelope of 50 US Dollars (three $5 bills and thirty-five $1 bills). It’s addressed to me at my London address with a Birmingham UK postmark in a handwriting that looks vaguely familiar but I can’t place it. Not many people have our address in the UK but I still can’t figure out who it might be.
There’s no note. Did you send it to me? Email me!
Anyone thinking “ANTHRAX”???

creepy!!
Tell me about it! I have a guess as to who it might be but he hasn’t answered my email yet. Meanwhile, the envelope and money are in a ziploc bag. Eeek!
That is just weird. Why would someone NOT put a note in? Especially with things like ANTHRAX out there.
I would have put a note in! Actually, if I were in a position to be sending things from one UK address to another UK address, I’d just shoot you an email to meet up instead!
When my mother sends euros for the children it generally comes in a ziplock bag, I think that is how the banks give it out…
If it’s a guy, no surprise about the lack of explanatory note, they don’t think that way…I hope it’s all sorted soon!
Deb: LOL The UK isn’t quite as small as us Americans imagine. And if it’s some psycho sending me $50, I’m not sure I’d want to meet up.
Snowy: Thanks for reassurance! I was actually hoping it was you because you’re one of the few who knows my mailing address. I don’t like to send cash in the mail and when I do, I always wrap it properly so no one can see it in the envelope. But you’re right about guys. I certainly hope it’s who I think it is!!!
Anthrax? Man, if I got 50.00 in the mail, it would already be spent by now! Then I would start wondering who it was from.
I’m just thinking, whodunit!
I’m with Donna!
That is freaky though. I hope you solve the mystery!
donna: haha I’ll be sure to forward it to you next time.
kristina: Hopefully, I’ll find out soon! No word yet.
Abigail: Me too!! I don’t know what to do otherwise….
