river2sea72: Way to go, Sadie! I can't say that Stephen is quite so fearless but I encourage him to be more so. We're gettin' there. As for you, you need a BIG HUG!!

Yesterday, I took Sadie swimming. She taught herself to swim this summer - I am not exaggerating. This guy with a 2-year-old (approx.) son floating around on a tube was watching her and asked me if she was afraid of anything. I said, no, but sometimes I wish she would have at least a little fear, for my sake. He asked me how we taught her to be that way and I could only reply the truth, that she has always been that way from birth.

The older I get, the more fearful I get. You are right. It is extremely limiting. I wish I could take a lesson from my daughter or at least tap into her fearlessness.
