Happiness Diary Day 3
Posted by Cottontimer on 30 Jun 2006 | Tagged as: Food
With Stephen running a fever, it was pretty hard to be cheery today. But I’ll go ahead and keep up with this Happiness Diary.
A list of the good food I enjoyed today
- Roasted Korean seaweed esp. the way I prepared it at lunch - a bowl of steamed rice topped with ripped up seaweed with two eggs over easy on top drizzled with soy sauce. YUM!!
- Brownies
- Mature cheddar cheese with melba toast
- Lime Coke
- Scallops
- Spinach
What was the most delicious thing you ate today?

What’s seaweed taste like? I did have an egg over-easy. Yummmmmy.
A jalapeno bagel from Au Bon Pain (my husband calls it Oh Bon Pain).
Poor guy! Give him lots of hugs from us.
PS. Could have used some seaweed. I should have also mentioned the chicken curry I made for the 3 of us after a tough afternoon. Is it a virus?
Kerri: Depends on the type. This Korean seaweed is crunchy and lightly fragrant. Hard to explain! Korean seaweed is might tasty, though, and a bit different than Japanese ones.
Kristina: Must be a virus because he’s fine again this morning.
The chicken curry sounds YUMMY. I think I’ll have to have some today too.

i’ll treat u to some scorpions; you can add it to your list of good food…no need to thank me.
We call em “Taho” classified as a local dessert made out of soya mixed with vanilla and bubble thingies. Another is a local viand called, “Dinuguan”, my favourite. It consists of meat and pig’s blood, best served with fish sauce. Hehehe. Yum, Yum, Yum!
laurina: I hope you’re slurping up all that authentic Chinese food!! And an extra bowl for me.
Sasha: If I ever visit the Philippines, you’re taking me!!
Hahaha. I got you interested, eh? Sure thing! You can even do the fear factor thingie and eat “balut”!!
