BUZZ BUZZ!!!

The morning started off with a jolt when the postman rang our doorbell. He was bearing a fabulous birthday (Marv’s)/wedding anniversary gift for us!! A BT Voyager wireless ADSL router.

So, 2 months, 3 weeks, and 2 days after we lost broadband because of problems with Wanadoo/Orange, we now have BT broadband. It took less than 30 minutes to set-up with far less hassle than what we had to do with the Wanadoo/Orange Livebox router. The BT router is also about one-third the size! What a thrill to see everything installed and running smoothly. I never experienced the same with Wanadoo/Orange.

I’m still cautiously excited, though. I won’t be cancelling our AOL dial-up until next week when I can be certain that our connection is stable. One thing the Wanadoo/Orange fiasco taught me was to expect the worst. What a drag for this always-excited optimist!

NB: I should also add that BT informed us every step of the way. I was able to track the progress of my order online from them prepping the lines to dispatching the router. They also sent emails as well as text messages to my cell phone including one this morning telling me our service had been activated. Never got any of this from Wanadoo/Orange. Booya!
