My Mother’s Day in London
Posted by Cottontimer on 14 May 2006 | Tagged as: London, Motherhood
Mothering Sunday is actually celebrated in March here in the UK, but we’re still adhering to old habits of celebrating Mother’s Day on the second Sunday of May. Kind of nice because it means that we didn’t have to battle the crowds to enjoy a Mother’s Day brunch.

I had eggs benedict for my mother’s day lunch too! Yum.
Happy Mother’s Day to you.
laurina: Awww. You know just the right thing to say. Thank you!!
Abigail: Hey, great mothers think/crave alike.
Hope the rest of your day was great too.
Glad to see you had a good Mothers’ Day. This morning I found and nicked (from London yet!) a photo every kid would love. Perhaps you can tell us what it is.
Best,
lucyd
goldenlucyd: That animal is freaky!! It looks strangely familiar but not sure what it is….
I’m glad I’ve never succumbed to curiosity in regards to Eggs Benedict. If I had that arrive at the table I think I’d be ill. heh. Now, strawberry crepes would be a different story!
My boys brought me lots of geraniums to put in the flowerbeds, and we had a tasty bar-b-que dinner, which I did not have to cook at all. They even picked up a quart of the yummy Greek summer salad I love from the deli.
Yay for celebrations!
Deb: I believe you have beaten me on the niceties of Mother’s Day.
(BTW, bit late answering this because my spam catcher ate it!)
