Stephen the Homebody

Spring break is drawing to a close and Stephen and I have gone to far fewer places than I had planned. The only special place we’ve gone so far is the park (and I think one other place that I can’t remember right now!) although we’re going to visit the Kew Steam Museum. Seems like most days (mornings especially), he’d prefer to be at home. I’ll take it to mean that our house is really fun and comfortable.

Despite being a recluse (ha!), Stephen’s turning out to be a great workmate. My workload has been particularly heavy this week and he’ll often sit next to me at the dining room table busy with his own drawings and “writings.”
I’m savoring this stage of his development and really pleased to have such a wonderful companion.

A fine workmate and a budding artist!
Sounds like utter bliss…
Its awesome that Stephen is easy to keep occupied. I know I got really mad with my brother complaining that he was “bored”. I keep telling him that there’s loads to do if he’ll only put his mind to it.
What is the URL of his blog?
It does sound lovely.
fantastic - this is what I dream my daughter will be like when she gets to that age - I love being at home - seems she’s picking up on that plus I work from home too so this attitude would be great come those long school holidays
Kristina and Shai: It’s great! Now he’s sitting next to me doing his Blue Clues CD on the old laptop my parents brought him.
Keuq: I’m sure when he gets older we’ll have many of the same “bored” moments!
mdmhvonpa: LOL!! How many years do you think it’ll be before that won’t be a joke?!

Andrea: Now I’m glad our dining room isn’t open to the living room. It gets him away from the TV to come and sit with me. Mom still wins over TV!
