[...] Oh, and check out what Mikey said on this here stay-at-home mommy blog back in January: One of the things that irks me about when people attack others on the internet, is that for the most part, that person wouldn?t be man (or woman) enough to actually say that kind of stuff to the person?s face if it were a real world interaction. The anonymity of the internet somehow gives weaker people the strength to take potshots at people they know nothing about, but alas, it?s that same anonymity that makes the internet so democratic.
Rosie: I can just imagine the kind of fun we'd have together. Although, my mom once told me to cut out the whispering when I was at orchestra practice.

Sadly, I am also too rude to my mom, dad, sister, and almost everyone who is unfailingly kind to me.

It made me nod in agreement when I went to your linked post about about how "the real you" would not go down well in public. I have a lot of difficulties with my friends and acquaintances; Vincent has called me on many times, because I'm not aware of how rude I am. I can't bear to listen to people talking rubbish, so even when I refrain from interrupting and giving my opinion (which too often I feel is the RIGHT one), it's apparently written all over my face that I think they are idiots. Recently I've been simply leaving the room if possible, or turning away from the people talking, but it makes my blood boil to hear people talk crap. My tone of voice, even when I try to stay polite and friendly, often gives away my feelings.

It made me laugh when you said mummy was too perfect, but in a nice way, cause she is amazing. I think she's wonderful, and I wish my tone of voice wasn't so rude with her too - I have to learn to control it!

Abigail: You do a really good job of hiding your annoyance!

Snowy: I totally agree with you! Buttheads are always good for a laugh. hehe And, don't worry, I won't be having a go at you. You're too perfect! :D

Jane: I am definitely not a "yes" kind of person. hehe I haven't mellowed so much over the years. In fact, I think I may have gotten more ornery. *horror*

there will always be people with whom we don't share the same views and when i was younger i'd get really emotional about it or take it as a personal affront. i think a hallmark of my getting older must be how i don't get as offended as quickly as i used to :-) on the other hand, if you are too well liked by everyone, would you be everyone's "yes-man"?

I had to laugh, though, because I too can get quite upset about stuff that I read, and have to be reminded that freedom of speech is a wonderful thing, and I don't have to read anyones blog if I don't want to. But sometimes it's the annoying ones that are the most fun!
I like it best when the real "Leo who can't stand fools" which is how I think of you, creeps in, well, unless you have a go at me!

Liz: Well said as usual. Although, blogging has a kind of culture that encourages people to let it all hang out. Highly entertaining, don't you think? ;)

We all have made mistakes. Me more than most. And no doubt will again. I keep hearing my mother say to this little girl. "Keep the family business in the family. Don't tell other people things that should be kept private." My mom would tell us all to take this stuff to email if we have to talk about it.

There's no purpose in discussing personalities in public.
I think everyone here has come to that conclusion and set the hard feelings aside with with grace.

Scrivs: Hold on there a second! I never ever used the word "hate." At least not in public conversation. ;) I might have said I didn't care for you but what I really mean was that I didn't care for you'd said the past. Obviously, we don't know each other well enough to dislike each other on a personal level! Thanks for leaving a comment.
