DIY Corner Bookmarks

Talk about creative. Fabio Sirna has some PDF templates to print out your own corner bookmarks. All you have to do is cut, fold, then put on the corner of the page you want to mark! Now if only I had a color printer….
Via Makezine.
NB: Of course, you can make them one at a time by hand too but what’s the fun of that?

What a clever idea!
Abigail: Now I really want a color printer esp. since it would be easy to print out coloring pages and other crafts stuff for Stephen.
Actually, with a colour printer, most of the time I print black and white anyway. Firstly, to get the boy to do some colouring. Secondly, printer ink can be costly in the long run.
I make my own bookmarks by using my photo editor to reduce pictures of my kids (head shots) and paste them into Microsoft word in a column. I take the document to the copy shop, have them print it out in color on bright white paper, laminate it, and then cut out the bookmarks. I can get 5 bookmarks per page, and the cost ends up being 30 cents per bookmark. The grandparents love them!
That’s a cool idea. I like the one with lines to jot notes
parentingjoy: My mom tells me Brother ink cartridge refills are quite affordable.
twocatmommy: What a fantastic idea! Man, everyone is much more clever than me.
Deb: Yeah, it’s not just the actual bookmarks, but the stuff he printed on them that’s cool. I like to read with a highlighter and post-it flags but never get a chance to do any marking b/c I always have to read with just one hand holding the book and the other one wedged under Stephen’s head while he’s sleeping.
I own a Brother All-in-One. The ink is affordable, but the problem is that the machine frequently do print head cleaning, which use up ink. It’s a feature that cannot be turned off so I waste a lot of ink.
Niels loves websites where he can color stuff in and print it out. A color printer is a nice thing to have. They’re not that expensive, but don’t get me started on the ink!
