Flattering Spam Comment
Posted by Cottontimer on 10 Dec 2005 | Tagged as: Blogging, Funny
Over at ProBlogger, I contributed an article to the 12 Days of Christmas series of blog tips - Ethics for Science and Health Bloggers. And in response, an apparent spammer left this comment:
Thats a great post and i must say the woman in specs looks cute.
Then he gives the link to a site with health and science spam articles. Does it look like I need help writing?!
These guys sure know what they’re doing, though. I don’t know whether to be flattered, insulted, or annoyed.

If your comment doesn't show up immediately, it's probably in moderation. I will approve it as soon as I can! Thanks for your patience.

You can be all of them, just depends on the time of day. But be flattered, at least the spammer noticed “something” about your article.
Christina: Men…hrmph. Not the first time it’s happened to me either! Maybe I shouldn’t complain too much…someday soon the compliments are going to dry up.
what an asshole. not that you’re not cute, but that’s not the point!
enoch: LOL Darren has already gotten rid of the spam comment. Now no proof of the flattery exists.
