Acronyms Not For Children’s Ears
Posted by Cottontimer on 21 Oct 2005 | Tagged as: Parenting, Stephen
Since my daughter learned to talk my husband and I have used spelling to communicate things we don?t want her to hear. Things like, “We?re having c-h-i-c-k-e-n for d-i-n-n-e-r.” Or, “I plan to j-u-m-p your b-o-n-e-s later.”

Marv and I have started using acronyms for words that incite excitement and desire in Stephen. Words like:
- French Fries (FF)
- Gummy Bears (GB)
- Toys R Us (TRU)
- Jamba Juice (JJ)
- Star Wars (SW)
Got any idiosyncratic acronyms or code you use routinely?
