Crochet Sushi Roll and Related Crafts

Crochet sushi roll toilet paper cover made from a pattern at Crochet me posted by .
I made it for Stephen today because he loves sushi.

A version of the decorative soap and towel sushi made for my sister by her cousin-in-law.
Stephen enjoyed playing with them so much that my mom and I made a sturdier version
using black sheets of felt for the seaweed instead of wide paper ribbon.
Made in November 2004.

Little crocheted ball creatures sitting on a mat made from a crochet pattern I was trying out.
Japanese craft magazines have the most whimsical crochet designs and
I had a great time trying out different needlework techniques when I lived in Japan.
Made in December 2000.
ETA on March 1, 2005:
When I gave the crocheted sushi roll to Stephen, he said. “Suuuuushi! Mama made you. Thank you, Mama.”
I figured out today that I did some stitches in a weird way. Maybe I’ll have to make another with conventional stitches.
