Quilts
Posted by Cottontimer on 27 Jan 2005 | Tagged as: Schooling, Vietnam
After years of using comforters and blankets selected by other people, I bought two quilts today–one for Stephen and one for me (and Marv).
The quilts are made by women in local villages and are sold at Patchwork Quilts in Ho Chi Minh City. This project is run by Vietnam Plus with the goal of providing jobs with skills training, fair remuneration wth all profits going directly to the quilters without a cut to the middleman, good working conditions, and community benefits.
