A woman in Colorado just gave birth to a baby boy who was conceived using her dead husband’s sperm. This is not something I would have done.

As much as I love Marv and am proud to have a son with him, I don’t think I would use his sperm to produce a child if he weren’t around. It would be unfair to both the child and the father who would have zero chances of ever knowing each other.

ETA: I asked Marv how he would feel if I wanted to do the same thing. He said, “No! I want you to find another man you love and have babies with him.” When I continued pestering him, he said, “All right! All right! Do what you want! I’ll be dead anyway. I won’t care.”
