Back in Vietnam

After more than three weeks away, we returned to Vietnam earlier this afternoon. Even though being away made us realize how relatively deprived we are here, our apartment still feels like home. May take a few days to get back to routine which will feel really boring after our vacation days of going out and overeating.
Stephen seems have become more adventurous and outgoing after spending these weeks mingling with relatives and friends. At my sister’s Christmas party of more than 20 guests, he greeted everyone at the door with a cheery “hi” then squeezed into the crowd of men playing the Xbox game, Halo 2, so that he could have his chance at a controller too.
Looks like Stephen would enjoy having a more vigorous social life. I’ll renew my efforts to make more friends for him once we become reacquainted with everything here. Right now I’m dizzy from unpacking all the goodies we brought back and trying to figure out where to put everything.
